In honor of National Poetry Month, you are invited to read your “ars poetica”, or one written by someone else: loosely defined, a poem about poetry, the muse, why you write, how you write.
Poets reading to the theme will go first, followed by a wide open mic,
one poem per round, until the clock runs out (8:15pm)
NO EPICS, please! Time your poems to 3 minutes/each or under.
“To write about poetry is to believe that there are answers to some of the questions poets ask of their art, or at least that there are reasons for writing it.”
— Michael Weigers, editor of One Art: Poems about Poetry
Hosted by Enid Osborn.
