Speaking in Tongues / Hablando en Lenguas: a Bilingual Poetry Reading & Conversation, March 5, UCSB

“Speaking in Tongues / Hablando en Lenguas” is a bilingual poetry reading and conversation featuring Minerva Reynosa (Monterrey, México) and Aideed Medina (Salinas, California). The event highlights transborder literary production across Spanish, English, and translation, engaging themes of migration, language, ecology, and community. It isotope to student, faculty, and the public interested in Chicanx/Latinx Studies, literature, and cross-border cultural exchange.

Organized by the Department Spanish and Portuguese’s Transborder Culture Lab, with support from Priscilla Solis Ybarra, Mellichamp Chair in Racial Environmental Justice and Professor of Chicana/o Studies and Professor Ben Olguín, Robert and Liisa Erickson Presidential Chair in English.
